Accessories
by ?|? on December 19th, 2012 ?|? ?While we?ve already seen Android-powered cameras from Nikon and Samsung, apparently another company is interested in making one, and it?s good ol? Polaroid, which is rumoured to be working on the worlds first Android mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.
According to Photo Rumors, a company called Sakar international is collaborating with Polaroid on the device, that?s currently going by the codename, Polaroid IM1836, featuring an 18.1 Megapixel sensor, pop-up flash, Wifi, HDMI-out and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on a 3.5 inch touchscreen. No mention of a SIM-card slot or internal specs yet though.
The fact that this camera would have interchangeable lenses is what makes it interesting though, and probably more image quality focused than the Android cameras from Nikon and Samsung. Perhaps we?ll see this one announced at CES next month?
