Chad McLean is what you might call an overachiever.
The Florida native has just broken the Guinness World Record for most strikes thrown in one minute, bowling nine strikes in that time frame at the AMF Alley Katz bowling alley in Gainesville, Fla., on Monday.
The previous record was set in 2011 by Colin Champion, who threw eight in 60 seconds, the Tampa Bay Times reported at the time.
Remarkably, this is McLean's second bowling achievement to earn him a spot in Guinness. Last year, he and partner Gene Dalusio broke the record for the highest pinfall in ten-pin bowling in 24 hours by a pair, knocking down 27,499 pins in a day.
The Gainesville Sun reports that he also set the record for organizing the largest single game of dodgeball.
According to his Storm Bowling bio, McLean, 28, operates an APEX Pro Shop in Gainesville and has thrown 10 perfect games in his career. Back in 2010, he embraced his position as "the odd ball out" and stated that breaking records is instrumental to his legacy.
"This is my thing," McLean told The Gainesville Sun. "I will do something to leave my mark on the sport."
